Our fast-expanding specialty food company seeks an ambitious professional to lead financial operations at the U.S. corporate level. This key role requires direct interaction with teams in warehouse management, logistics, purchasing, production, and retail operations.
You'll spearhead all accounting functions while actively contributing insights and recommendations across various strategic areas. Working hands-on and on-site, you'll ensure seamless integration with operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising core accounting activities such as general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processes, cash management, and month-end/year-end closures.
- Crafting comprehensive financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually, driving process improvements for increased profitability and efficiency.
- Leading budget preparation, monitoring forecasts, managing cash flow, and supporting strategic planning initiatives.
- Overseeing inventory control processes, reviewing stock reports, and addressing aging and surplus inventory issues.
- Strategizing with operations to optimize waste reduction and product margins through promotions and adjustments.
- Maintaining robust internal controls and compliance standards, managing audits, and coordinating with external accountants.
- Collaborating cross-departmentally, facilitating regular site evaluations to enhance inventory accuracy and operational discipline.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or CMA preferred, and a minimum of five years of experience in similar environments. Candidates should have a strong background in food or consumer products, with adeptness in financial systems and excellent interpersonal skills to work across teams.
