Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Controller to take full ownership of the accounting function across a growing commercial real estate portfolio. We are looking for someone who can lead, build, and optimize—someone who understands the numbers behind the business and uses them to drive performance, control costs, and improve Net Operating Income.

This is a FULL- TIME, in-person salaried position based in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Own the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across the portfolio.
• Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Oversee all accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL, and monthly close.
• Produce clean, reliable P&Ls and balance sheets.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis tied directly to asset performance.
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, and due diligence from a financial perspective.
• Establish, improve, and enforce accounting processes, controls, and standards.
• Optimize systems and workflows across AppFolio and QuickBooks.

Qualifications:

• Commercial Property Management experience required.
• Strong accounting background with advanced financial and analytical capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business models and financial performance.
• Proven experience leading and managing accounting teams.
• Proficiency in AppFolio and QuickBooks required.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• High attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
