Performs accounting duties in a proficient and efficient manner. This includes maintaining and reconciling the General Ledger.
Coordinates accounting functions and financial report preparation.
Oversees treasury functions and cash flow projections.
Oversees all grand accounting/reporting for compliance.
Leads annual external audit process/liaison with external auditors.
Performs monthly financial analysis/disseminates to management as monitoring/decision making tools.
Reviews/coordinates operational/capital budgeting processes.
Provides tutelage to staff on various aspects of accounting procedures.
Provides key management with financial reporting to enhance operational performance.
Provides financial guidance to departmental management; reports monthly within operational areas of focus.
Performs financial analysis on ad hoc basis as requested by CFO/senior leadership including service line profitability, pension costs, etc.
Administers timely/effective month end close processes.
Provides financial reports to CFO.
Reviews AR aging and coordinates with Revenue Cycle to facilitate collection focus.
Develops/coordinates financial reporting computer system.
Oversees preparation/updating accounting policies and procedures.
Coordinates Medicare reimbursement strategies and reporting processes.
Coordinates timely distribution of department manpower efficiency reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelors Degree Accounting - Required

CPA Required
Additional Certification & Licensures details:
5 years Banking/Financial Services - Financial Manager Required
5 years as Senior Accountant or Controller - Required
Must have 5 years progressive financial management experience in healthcare accounting environment including extensive experience in third party reimbursement.
