Controller – Manufacturing Company

A rapidly expanding global manufacturing organization located south of Boston is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and partner closely with executive leadership. The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic planning alongside the COO. This is a high-impact leadership role within a growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close; prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements

• Oversee GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, inventory costing, and internal controls

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Coordinate external audits and tax filings; liaise with CPA firm

• Drive process improvements and ERP optimization (SAGE preferred)

• Partner cross-functionally on inventory, pricing, and operational initiatives

• Lead and mentor the accounting team

Qualifications:

• 8–10+ years of accounting experience within manufacturing

• 3–5+ years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role

• Strong GAAP knowledge and inventory/cost accounting expertise

• Experience with ERP systems (SAGE a plus)

• CPA/MBA preferred

• Lean manufacturing, ISO, or ITAR experience a plus
