Job Details

Provide leadership and coordination across accounting, financial planning, and budget management functions for an established manufacturing organization. Partner with leadership and external resources to develop and execute accounting and financial reporting programs, policies, and procedures. Ensure accounting practices and controls remain compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable financial regulations.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective support across all areas of accounting and finance.
  • Lead and manage the month-end close process.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and financial regulations.
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and internal and external financial statements.
  • Coordinate tax return preparation and support income tax compliance.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support corporate decision-making.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, projections, and performance reports.
  • Perform and oversee account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
  • Establish and recommend financial performance benchmarks.
  • Partner closely with senior financial leadership on accounting and finance initiatives.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Analyze production costs, material consumption, inventory levels, and related manufacturing financial data.

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control, GAAP, and standard cost systems.
  • Knowledge of automated accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, forecasts, and projections.
  • Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting, forecasting, and product-line analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Sound business judgment and confident decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
  • CPA certification and/or MBA preferred.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience required.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Outlook and Word required.
