Salary:
$95,000 – $110,000 per year, depending on experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and capable Controller to lead the accounting function of a fast-growing, recently public software company. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic financial planning. The position is hybrid, based in Henderson, NV, with a combination of on-site and remote work.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
Manage month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP and ASC 606/IFRS 15
Lead revenue recognition for software subscriptions, licenses, and services
Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and filings
Drive automation and process improvements using QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP systems
Mentor junior accounting staff and support team development
Qualifications:
1–3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS, technology, or IT-related companies
Strong understanding of GAAP, ASC 606/IFRS 15, and revenue recognition principles
Experience with QuickBooks or other ERP systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong project management skills and ability to multitask
Professional, polite, and adaptable
