We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial systems, including financial planning, budget management, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information and will play a critical role in our company's financial strategy and planning. This position requires a deep understanding of Quickbooks, GAAP, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning, and forecasts; conferring with President and COO, CFO and other executive leadership.
3. Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
4. Oversee the investment of funds and manage associated risks, supervise cash management activities, execute capital-raising strategies to support a firm's expansion.
5. Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
6. Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
7. Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
8. Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
9. Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
10. Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
11. Assist in obtaining the necessary licenses and insurance required to start a business.
12. Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
13. Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Proficiency in Quickbooks, GAAP
4. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP.
5. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
6. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
8. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
9. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
11. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
12. Ability to delegate authority and responsibility.
13. Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
14. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
