Position: Prekindergarten Instructional Assistant (Contractual)

Location: Schools with Prekindergarten Classrooms
Salary
$17.70/hour contractual (no benefits) Position contingent on grant funding.
Hours: Hours determined by grant funding (Up to 25 hours per week)
Qualifications
- Knowledge of early childhood developmentally appropriate practices.
- Experience working with special education and multilanguage students.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Exemplary organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and teachers.
Responsibilities
- Work with Prekindergarten special education and multilanguage student(s).
- Support the instructional needs of Prekindergarten student(s).
- Follow plans created by the classroom teacher.
- Work with staff and student(s) to develop effective intervention strategies.
- Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction and student learning.
