Primary Purpose
The Contracts Specialist reviews contracts for conformity to contract requirements to align with company risk mitigation policies, red-line documents and negotiate terms. This position is an integral member of the Contracts Team, playing a key role with the National Accounts group as a business partner helping to negotiate key long term contracts. The Contract Specialist works cross functionally within the organization, directly handling high profile Corporate Accounts and National Accounts, and other key customer contacts on a regional and national level.
Essential Functions
• Read and interpret contacts, corresponds with contracting parties
• Prepare and negotiate complex contracts and manage commercial contracts and subcontracts.
Contracts cater to a diverse customer base including government, commercial, military,
industrial, and retail
• Administer contracts in accordance with compliance guidelines and makes business decisions
based on corporate metrics for risk mitigation
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure contracts' compliance with local and federal
laws. Obtain contract-related information from relevant parties
• Liaison between parties regarding contract development, and negations regarding terms and
conditions, and drafting and revising changes are required
• Review external clients' contract terms to ensure they align with Company's risk tolerance, and
red-line documents as required to ensure compliance
• Develop contract proposals to support organizational goals
• Review various forms of client documents, subcontracts, purchase orders, master service
agreements, change orders, cost estimates
• Prepare specifications and other exhibits, additional documents in order to complete contract
requirements
• Contract management & administration; provide overall support in contract administration
functions for the coordination and oversight of requirements to ensure compliance with the
contract terms and conditions, along with relaying information to internal sales force
• Ensure relevant documentation accompany contracts, and maintain hard and digital copies of
relevant documentation into Contract Management database
• Attend meetings to assess progress on projects, taking detailed notes to share with
department head and stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned

$66,700.00 – $96,700.00 / year

Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
