The Contracts Compliance Specialist supports the Head of Compliance and Governance in administering and maintaining Maersk Line, Limited's compliance, security, and governance programs.
This position provides an opportunity to further expertise in federal contracting, compliance, cybersecurity, industrial security, and transportation programs. The role works closely with Compliance, Contracts, Security, IT, Human Resources, and operational teams to support regulatory compliance, contract administration, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the administration and maintenance of MLL’s compliance program, including policies, procedures, records, and compliance documentation.
Assist with monitoring compliance with customer requirements, government contracts, company policies, and applicable regulations.
Coordinate and maintain documentation supporting audits, inspections, assessments, certifications, registrations, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Support internal reviews, investigations, and corrective action activities, including tracking findings, action items, and resolution efforts.
Assist with the review and administration of government contracts, modifications (MOD), and related documentation to identify compliance requirements and support implementation across business functions.
Coordinate with the Government Contract Execution team (GCE), Operations, Security, Marine and Information Technology (IT), and other stakeholders to support compliance objectives and program requirements.
Maintain company registrations, certifications, and related records in government and commercial systems (SAM.gov, CPARS, CTPAT, etc.)
Support vendor and subcontractor due diligence activities and maintain associated documentation.
Maintain compliance-related training records and assist with awareness and training initiatives.
Support cybersecurity, transportation, cargo security, and other compliance related programs as assigned.
Participate in special projects supporting compliance, governance, security, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities as Industrial Security Coordinator:
Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in administering the company's industrial security program and maintaining compliance with applicable security requirements.
Maintain personnel security, visitor control, and security-related records in accordance with company policies and government requirements.
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, access management, and personnel security administrative activities.
Support the administration and maintenance of facility clearance documentation and related government reporting requirements.
Assist with the protection, accountability, and proper handling of controlled information and sensitive documentation.
Support preparation for government audits, inspections, security reviews, and corrective action activities.
Coordinate security training records and assist with security awareness initiatives.
Participate in Insider Threat Program activities and related working groups.
Provide administrative support for security and compliance initiatives as assigned.
Position Specifications:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Maritime Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is required; or minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in U.S. Government contract compliance or related disciplines in lieu of a degree.
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance from the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) and TWIC card.
Technical Skills and Competencies Required
Strong organizational skills
Good working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and other regulatory agencies that support US Government contracts, Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) highly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and support problem-solving efforts.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Possesses a positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
