Contracts and Compliance Specialist

The Contracts & Compliance Specialist manages the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and export control laws. This role is essential to mitigating risk and maintaining contractual integrity within a highly regulated government environment.
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including NDAs, subcontracts, and teaming agreements
- Manage contracts from proposal through closeout (cradle-to-grave)
- Interpret contract terms and advise internal stakeholders
- Support proposal development and ensure pricing compliance
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other regulatory requirements
- Monitor contract performance and identify compliance risks
- Maintain audit-ready documentation (e.g., DCAA and internal audits)
- Support export control and data protection initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, finance, procurement, and sales teams
- Interface with government agencies, customers, and suppliers
- Advise on contractual risk and compliance strategies
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Track contract status, deliverables, and compliance metrics
- Enhance contract lifecycle processes and controls
- Support internal training on compliance standards
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in government contracting
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and contract fundamentals
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage risk
- Salary range $90k to $100k
