Position Summary:

Responsible for administering contracts of moderate scope and complexity to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations. This role supports the full contract lifecycle, including requirements definition, proposal development, performance monitoring, pricing and terms negotiation, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts by reviewing and analyzing customer purchase orders, including those issued under Basic Contract Agreements and Long-Term Agreements. Evaluate delivery schedules, pricing, terms and conditions, and overall contract performance.
  • Develop compliant and competitive proposal packages in response to customer requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Assess performance requirements, delivery timelines, and cost estimates related to materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Initiate and coordinate the bid process by gathering requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on scope, schedule, and cost inputs.
  • Prepare and submit responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), ensuring alignment with technical, commercial, and contractual requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and other key business provisions in accordance with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Ensure all contract provisions are clear, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve contract-related issues, claims, or customer concerns by analyzing data and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor contract performance, including financial metrics and delivery status, and identify when amendments, extensions, or scope adjustments are required.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned contracts and support customer meetings or presentations as needed.
  • Support export compliance activities and assist in implementing applicable compliance requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of contract management practices, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations and advise management on necessary actions.
  • Apply continuous improvement and lean principles to enhance processes and standard work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field required. Contract management certification (or in progress) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in contract administration or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of contract management principles, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of government procurement regulations (if applicable).
  • Proficiency with standard business software and contract management systems.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze moderately complex contract terms, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to internal teams and leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within defined objectives and team goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address customer inquiries, complaints, and contractual issues effectively.
