  • Monitor contract performance and identify the need for amendments, modifications, or extensions.
  • Determine when customer-requested changes fall outside contractual scope.

Proposal Development & Contract Negotiation

  • Prepare technically and commercially compliant proposals in response to customer requirements and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather performance requirements, delivery schedules, labor estimates, and material costs.
  • Develop proposal responses and submit complete bid packages.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and other contractual provisions within authorized limits.
  • Ensure all contract terms are clear, compliant, and aligned with company policies and legal requirements.

Order Management & Customer Support

  • Perform moderate order entry and manage schedule changes.
  • Support customer portal management activities.
  • Create and maintain demand plans as part of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding assigned contracts and orders.
  • Conduct customer communications and participate in customer presentations and meetings.
  • Review and analyze purchase orders and contractual requirements.

Issue Resolution & Compliance

  • Investigate and resolve customer claims, complaints, and contract-related issues.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, operations, and other departments to resolve technical and business matters.
  • Support export compliance activities and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, industry, and aerospace regulations.
  • Advise management on compliance risks and required corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Apply Lean principles to establish and improve standard work processes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of contract management practices, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Participate in professional development activities and relevant industry associations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field required.

  • Experience supporting commercial or government contracts preferred.
  • Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of contract administration principles, practices, regulations, and policies.
  • Knowledge of commercial contracting, government contracting, and export compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze moderately complex contract terms and conditions.
