Position Overview: Concordia Academy in Roseville, MN, is seeking experienced candidates to teach one PSEO section of ART 120 Ceramics I to high school students during the Fall 2026 semester. Instructors are expected to demonstrate subject expertise while fostering an environment of active intellectual and creative engagement with students. The PSEO curriculum is provided by the Department of Science at Concordia University, Saint Paul.
Course Description: ART 120 Ceramics I- This introductory studio course is designed to familiarize beginning students with the fundamental techniques and concepts of contemporary ceramic art. Students will see and also investigate sculptural and vessel forms in clay, along with the relationship of drawing to the creative process. Although significant clay art history and technology will be taught, learning will be assessed primarily through portfolio production and review.
