Position Summary:
The Contract Recruiter serves as a strategic Talent Acquisition partner to leaders and hiring managers, managing full lifecycle recruitment for professional through director-level roles. This role is responsible for attracting, assessing, and hiring high-quality talent while promoting the culture and Human Health Care (hhc) mission. Success requires strong business acumen, relationship management, sourcing expertise, organizational skills, and a proactive recruiting approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner closely with hiring managers and HR colleagues to manage requisitions and recruitment strategies.
Conduct intake meetings, create job postings, manage candidate pipelines, and oversee applicant tracking.
Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates using behavioral-based interviewing techniques.
Develop and present candidate assessments, prescreening questions, search assignments, and candidate summaries.
Consult with leadership on workforce planning, talent needs, and recruiting strategies.
Educate and prepare candidates throughout the interview process, providing insight into the culture, business, and role expectations.
Coordinate interview scheduling and logistics with candidates, hiring managers, and HR partners.
Facilitate interview debriefs, collect feedback, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
Extend employment offers in partnership with HR and Compensation, ensuring adherence to company policies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders, vendors, professional organizations, colleges, and diverse talent networks.
Leverage AI tools, ATS/CRM systems, networking, and online recruiting resources to identify and attract top talent.
Support recruitment marketing, diversity hiring initiatives, career events, and other talent acquisition programs.
Assist with process improvement projects, system testing, and recruiter training as needed.
Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment documentation to ensure compliance, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness.
Provide exceptional candidate and hiring manager communication throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or a related field required; MS or MBA preferred.
5+ years of recruiting experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Experience supporting commercial and non-commercial functions and filling positions through the Director level.
Working knowledge of AI tools and applications in recruiting.
Experience with applicant tracking systems required; Workday experience preferred.
Strong expertise in all aspects of full lifecycle recruiting, including sourcing, networking, interviewing, candidate assessment, offer negotiation, relationship management, EEO compliance, employment laws, job analysis, and compensation trends
Hybrid work arrangement: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in Nutley HQ and Mondays and Fridays are work from home days.
This position may require the ability to work outside of normal business hours depending on the nature of the search and timelines.
