SPM Contract Manager II (Required to be onsite 3 days per week)

Responsible for business unit Supplier Performance Management (SPM) of medium- to large-size/value contracts by identifying and maximizing value opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of contract strategies within the business unit/COE.
  • Define contract terms and conditions in accordance with company standards.
  • Manage post-award contract activities, including:
    • Vendor performance and compliance management
    • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, including payment terms
    • Contract modifications, extensions, renewals, and close-outs
  • Manage medium- and high-value contracts throughout the full contract lifecycle.
  • Provide performance metrics and reporting related to contract management, development, and compliance.
  • Analyze, manage, and resolve business conflicts between the company and vendors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual issue resolution.
  • Identify and implement value-maximizing opportunities.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Management to develop optimal contract terms.
  • Manage PO-specific technical and commercial work efforts in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Ensure signed contracts are communicated to all relevant stakeholders to maintain contract visibility, awareness, and proper implementation.
  • Handle ongoing issues and change management documentation appropriately.
  • Interface with key customers to proactively ensure contractual compliance and performance.
  • Collaborate with the SCM team to provide guidance on vendor selection.
  • Analyze current processes and recommend improvements using Continuous Improvement (CI) principles.
  • Support negotiation structuring and contract execution.
  • Assist in developing SPM value targets and tracking performance against goals.
  • Mentor other Contract Managers and support their work as needed.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management techniques.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
