What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience.
Experience sourcing construction services for large capital projects.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and category strategy experience.
Utility industry, SAP/SRM, project management, or leadership experience is a plus.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Oakland, CA). Candidates outside the Bay Area will be considered if they're willing to travel onsite 2–3 days per week at their own expense.
What You'll Do
Lead enterprise-wide strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.
Develop category and sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance.
Manage complex procurement projects and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
Oversee contracts, sourcing governance, spend analysis, and supplier performance.
Drive continuous improvement and deliver value across major capital programs.
Principal, Strategic Sourcing – Construction Services
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
Salary: Around $170K - $180K
We're hiring a Principal, Strategic Sourcing to join the Procurement team supporting large-scale capital programs at Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E).
This role focuses on strategic sourcing of construction services (not materials) for capital projects valued at $3B–$4B. We're looking for procurement professionals with experience in one or more of the following:
