The Contract Logistics Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for managing all inventory operations, ensuring the accuracy of inventory systems, and closely monitoring overall performance metrics. They provide mentorship and guidance to associates, effectively address any operational issues that arise, and lead various projects aimed at improving existing procedures. Additionally, they ensure that reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner to maintain smooth inventory control processes. You will work Monday through Friday each week. The schedule is outlined as follows: on Monday, your shift will begin at 6:00 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m., while from Tuesday through Friday, your shift will start at 7:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m. The annual salary for this position is $65,000, which will be paid on a biweekly basis.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly oversee and supervise all associates who are responsible for carrying out various inventory management functions and tasks
  • Efficiently oversee all internal inventory control procedures and promptly address any exceptions or discrepancies with appropriate and timely measures to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate closely with all department managers to accurately identify and thoroughly understand the key projects, important initiatives, and overall workloads within the organization
  • Lead and coordinate consistent and focused efforts to accurately verify and manage inventory with precision
  • Coordinate and oversee the thorough implementation of daily inventory policies and procedures, including detailed analysis and accurate reporting, to successfully meet the facility''s inventory goals. This includes managing scheduled velocity targets, profile reviews, customer forecast assessments, and inventory activity-based slotting.
  • Implement best practice inventory management techniques, encompassing detailed tracking, comprehensive reporting, and thorough root cause analysis to ensure optimal operational efficiency and accuracy
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with the security team to develop and consistently implement comprehensive loss prevention policies and procedures
  • Develop streamlined and precise procedures for managing inventory effectively
  • Assessment of procedures conducted to drive continuous improvement and sustain a best-in-class status
  • Reconcile inventories and manage the coordination of annual physical inventory procedures
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recovery program to ensure all defective products are accurately identified and managed appropriately
  • Oversee inventory quality and accuracy assurance initiatives, ensuring timely preparation of weekly and monthly reports
  • Develop a program to systematically audit return transactions and efficiently relocate returned products to their designated storage areas
  • Ensures the Department maintains precise records to effectively support shortage identification
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and detailed documentation to ensure precise and efficient inventory counting
  • Ensures timely and precise delivery of all weekly and monthly reports

What we would like you to bring

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • At least five years of experience, including two years in supervision, or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience in managing inventory control within a distribution center, a high-volume third-party warehouse, or a cross-dock facility environment
  • WMS experience is required. SAP experience is preferred but optional
  • Experience with ISO 9000 and related standards is preferred
  • Comprehensive experience in process documentation, procedural development, and quality management
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates robust quantitative and analytical capabilities
  • Set clear priorities, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in Inventory Control management, is preferred

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Will dedicate substantial time on the production floor and in the office, maintaining frequent communication between local employees, management, and key customer contacts
  • Capable of working extended hours as required
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. as required
