Responsibilities:
- Transport flatbed freight safely and efficiently across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Secure cargo using appropriate methods and equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and updates.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during pick-up and delivery of freight.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate flatbed equipment and secure loads properly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with the job.
