LHH is partnering with a growing and dynamic organization in the Tampa area to identify an experienced Corporate Counsel to join its in-house legal team on a contract/temporary basis. This role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted business partner, providing strategic legal guidance across a broad range of corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements, including vendor, service, customer, and confidentiality agreements
Advise business leaders on legal and regulatory matters impacting company operations
Support corporate governance activities, including entity management and maintenance of corporate records
Provide guidance on contract interpretation, enforcement, and risk mitigation strategies
Assist with mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other strategic transactions
Partner with internal stakeholders on compliance initiatives and policy development
Manage outside counsel and coordinate litigation strategy when needed
Advise on employment-related matters and other day-to-day legal issues
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
4+ years of experience in corporate law, in-house or at a law firm
Demonstrated experience in several of the following areas:
Commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management
Corporate governance and entity management
Mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance transactions
Regulatory compliance and risk management
Employment law and general corporate counseling
Strong business acumen with the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
