We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Business Analyst with a strong financial and data analysis background to support critical budgeting, reporting, and forecasting initiatives. This role will play a key part in helping stabilize workload during a high-demand period while partnering across departments to deliver accurate and actionable financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
Lead support efforts for the annual budgeting cycle, including coordination with department leaders
Extract and analyze financial data from the general ledger to support planning and reporting
Develop and distribute budgeting tools/templates and track departmental submissions
Consolidate budget data and ensure accuracy of inputs across teams
Assist with forecasting, variance analysis, and trend reporting
Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
Prepare and organize reports required for regulatory or government submission
Manage, clean, and structure large datasets to support decision-making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial inputs and provide insights
Assist with year-end close activities and audit preparation
Provide ad hoc financial and data analysis to support business needs
Required Technical Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel (required)
pivot tables, macros, complex formulas
Experience working with financial data, including general ledger activity
Exposure to data tools such as Power Query or similar (preferred)
Familiarity with ERP
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
Equivalent hands-on experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis will be considered
Solid understanding of core accounting concepts (debits/credits, financial statements)
Working knowledge of financial reporting and analysis practices
Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
Pay Details: $28.00 to $36.00 per hour
