Job Description:

This is professional services work in writing, developing, advertising, awarding, processing administering, interpreting and monitoring contracts and agreements. Work includes meeting with providers, contractors, suppliers and Department employees providing contract process assistance and information, coordinating and conferring with outside and department resources in the delivery of materials, services and work, evaluating provider performance and analyzing and reviewing program practices to propose changes to improve effectiveness. This position will administer contracts through the AASHTOWare (AWP) system.

In addition to Maintenance and Operations duties, this position will assist the Contract Procurement Office (CPO) on consultant contracts, consultant evaluations, railroad agreements, Municipal Partnership Agreements, Purchase Agreements, Requests for Proposals, and other tasks as assigned. Knowledge and experience with MaineDOT's financial, contract management, and electronic filing system is preferred (e.g. TRACS, AMS, TEDOCS, FREE2000, MEPlans, MS Excel, MS Word, Bid Express, BidX. ASHTOWare, Adobe Acrobat). Work is performed under general supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, training, and/or experience demonstrating competence in contract or grant administration.
