The Construction Contract Administration team in the CFO division is seeking a detail-driven professional to support financial management and oversight of minor and quick-response construction projects. This role will conduct thorough financial reviews and process daily transactions in the myUFL system, including purchase orders, invoices, and payment applications, while ensuring compliance with university policies, contract requirements, and Florida regulations. It will serve as a key financial contact for project teams, coordinating activities from project setup through closeout, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and analyzing billing and expenditures. Responsibilities also include monitoring project budgets and commitments, resolving discrepancies, preparing analytical reports, and ensuring alignment across multiple systems. Additionally, the role will provide guidance on construction-related financial policies and contracts, support project managers with purchasing and payment processes, and contribute to special projects as needed. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Classification Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in building construction, accounting, architecture, or engineering; or a bachelor's degree in building construction, accounting, architecture, or engineering and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:

Financial Transaction Processing for Construction Projects:

  • Review, verify, and process daily financial transactions in myUFL (purchase orders, invoices, payment applications)
  • Ensure all transactions have proper approvals and comply with university policies and regulations
  • Analyze contracts, change orders, and agreements for compliance with scope, statutes, and guidelines
  • Serve as primary financial contact for construction project teams from project setup through closeout

Monitoring Assigned Minor & Quick Response Construction Projects:

  • Track and monitor project budgets, commitments, and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved funding
  • Post and update contracts and purchase order amendments
  • Reconcile financial data across Project Tracker, ACC, and myUFL systems
  • Prepare requisitions for project commitments and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Conduct research and develop analytical reports to support project oversight

Guidance on UF Construction Policies and Procedures:

  • Review construction contracts for compliance with UF policies and statutory requirements
  • Ensure alignment with fee curve guidelines and established contract standards
  • Provide guidance on allowable expenditures and policy interpretation for minor projects

Customer Service Assistance:

  • Support project managers with contracts, requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice processing

Special Projects:

Contribute to special assignments and initiatives as needed to support departmental goals
Expected Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000
