Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our team in Huntsville. In this role, you will manage and administer contracts within the defense industry, ensuring compliance with government regulations and supporting successful contract execution. This position requires strong knowledge of federal contracting, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Contract Management
    • Review, draft, and negotiate government prime and subcontract agreements in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
    • Manage contract modifications, extensions, and renewals.
    • Monitor contract performance and deliverables to ensure full adherence to terms and conditions.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other government contracting requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and current contract records and documentation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner with internal functional teams to ensure contract requirements are clearly understood and executed.
    • Coordinate with government representatives and subcontractors to resolve any contract-related issues.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual risks.
    • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract terms and conditions.
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare and maintain required contract documentation and deliverables.
    • Ensure timely submission of required reports and contractual obligations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in contract/subcontract administration, preferably within the defense industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government contracting regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and competing priorities.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or equivalent certification is a plus.
