Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yrJob Title: Continuous Improvement EngineerJob Description #: JD-158Department:Job type: ExemptOverview The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for utilizing continuous improvement and industrial engineering tools to analyze processes and layouts, in order to identify waste, and drive improvements in efficiency, productivity, and quality.Responsibilities Utilize CAD to design layouts that optimize efficiency and flow.Complete time studies and line balancing to improve production processes.Calculate metrics and drive daily sustainment of the Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) process.Identify opportunities for improvement in design and production, and work with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to implement.Complete root cause/corrective action process (5-Why, Fishbone, A3) to permanently solve production problems.Design continuous improvement tools and templates (primarily utilizing Excel and Tableau) to improve data collection and reporting.Assist with the rollout of 5S in key production areas.Train the team on CI tools and processes as required.Qualifications Minimum Educational Qualifications (If Applicable):Bachelor's degree in EngineeringIndustrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree preferredMinimum Previous Experience (If Applicable):1-2 years of lean/industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentOther Skills:Experience with Microsoft Office suite required, proficiency with Excel requiredGood written and verbal communication skills requiredExperience with CAD – AutoCAD / Solidworks or equivalent requiredDemonstrated ability to manage projects and implement process improvementsEmployment details Seniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Management and ManufacturingIndustries: Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Richards Manufacturing Company by 2xGet notified about new Continuous Improvement Engineer jobs in Irvington, NJ .#J-18808-Ljbffr
