Job Summary:   

 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Continuous Improvement to lead our efforts in optimizing operational processes and driving efficiency across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of implementing transformative initiatives in a multi-location environment. Duties/Responsibilities: 

 

  • Personally lead cross-functional teams focused on high-impact process improvement opportunities to deliver significant value creation across SCRAM.  Through the use of Kaizen and other Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools, facilitate end-to-end process improvements from problem identification to analysis to implementation and improvement verification.   

  • Support assignation, follow up and coaching of Green Belt and other CI-trained internal resources as required for continuous improvement projects that are not led directly by the Director, Continuous Improvement position. 

  • Develop a leadership “report out” scorecard on CI initiatives, as well as lead the tracking of the Continuous Improvement project funnel across the Enterprise.  Provide timely updates to the GEC (General Executive Committee – Sr. Leadership team) on CI project funnel, as well as any constraints or support needed to effectively manage improvement funnel. 

  • Partner with Human Resources on training, certification and recognition initiatives. 

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by providing training, coaching, and guidance to employees at all levels of the organization. 

  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to identify improvement opportunities. 

  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage. 

  • Partner with and advise on internal resources that provide technological or creative solutions to streamline processes and enhance productivity such as AI, automation, or other digital tools.  

  • Willingness to travel to multiple locations as needed.

Required Experience:

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, leading Kaizen & Continuous Improvement teams and delivering measurable results in process efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive change at both tactical and strategic levels.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams across the organization.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Certification in Lean Principles and/or Six Sigma (Black Belt required, Master Black Belt strongly preferred).

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or related field, preferably in a multi-location environment.
