Consultant - Risk Consulting

Pay Rate: $70 - $82 per hour, W2
Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Summary:

• Drive financial recoveries from carriers on behalf of clients by presenting compelling coverage arguments and skillfully negotiating resolutions.
• Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with client goals.
• Expand consulting engagements by consistently delivering exceptional service and demonstrating high value.
• Provide expert guidance to clients in shaping and refining project approaches, methodologies, and tools to effectively manage risk programs and initiatives.
• Cultivate and deepen successful business relationships to grow client engagements.
• Leverage advanced knowledge of industry trends in risk management to generate actionable insights tailored to clients’ business and risk environments.

Responsibilities:

• Implement strategic plans and advanced technology to maximize clients’ insurance recoveries for mass tort and complex claims.
• Apply deep understanding of complex insurance programs and industry-specific knowledge.
• Provide insightful analysis and recommendations on insurance coverage for clients facing complex liabilities.
• Manage insurer communications, including notice and tender processes, coverage position letters, and information requests.
• Review policy documents to identify key provisions for policy management systems and coverage charts.
• Evaluate cost share agreements and buyout offers to ensure client interests are protected.
• Utilize both coverage expertise and business relationships to negotiate insurance coverage and loss allocation resolutions with adjusters on behalf of clients.
• Adhere to company policies for timekeeping, expense reporting, and billing.

Requirements:

• Drive to utilize your expertise in long tail claim and emerging coverage issues at the highest level.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience evaluating and negotiating coverage on multi-year claims at an insurer, insurance archaeology firm, and/or law firm.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
