POSITION SUMMARY: The Consultant Pharmacist functions as an integral part of the pharmacy team and is directly responsible for reviewing and monitoring residents’ medication regimens on a scheduled basis for clinical appropriateness and compliance with regulations. This individual uses best practices to maintain or improve delivery, storage, and administration of medications. The Consultant Pharmacist interacts professionally and develops relationships with facility administration, providing reporting resources and clinical expertise to support compliance with policies and procedures that positively affect patient care and facility operations.
