An established General Contractor is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee retail construction projects across multiple locations nationwide. Description

  • Manage retail construction projects from pre-construction through final closeout across multiple locations.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
  • Travel regularly to project sites to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain client relationships.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure financial performance targets are achieved.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with superintendents and field teams to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Manage procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee project turnover, punch list completion, and closeout documentation.

Profile

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within a General Contractor environment.
  • Strong background managing retail construction projects, including store remodels, tenant improvements, rollouts, and ground-up developments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively across multiple project locations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project controls.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
