Position Details General Statement Gallatin College seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or related functions. The department or program search committees or hiring authority will review and evaluate the submitted application materials. Duties and Responsibilities Gallatin College seeks course instructors to teach in the following specialty areas:
• Carpentry • Fundamentals of Construction Technology • Woodworking and Finish Carpentry • Carpentry Basics and Rough Framing • Site Prep, Foundations, and Concrete Installation • Blueprint Codes and Estimating
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Required Qualifications
Three years of experience in the related field, AAS or similar degree in the related field, and the ability to demonstrate construction trades techniques to students who may possess a variety of skills and talents.
Preferred Qualifications
Five or more years of experience in the field that topic of instruction relates to, a Bachelors degree in the related field, industry standard professional certifications, and demonstrated commitment to student faculty and staff enrichment.
Successful Candidate The successful candidate will work professionally and effectively with individuals of all backgrounds. Possess effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Have the ability to contribute positively to the academic success of the students and the mission of Gallatin College, Montana State University.

Program The Construction Trades program students acquire the skills necessary for entry-level occupations in construction or HVAC-R. Also under this Division, Gallatin College is offering support courses for the Plumbing and Electrical apprenticeship programs already established in the area.
