Construction Services Estimator

BPG DESIGNS, LLC is a growing civil construction telecom company specializing in infrastructure development, underground utilities, and large-scale telecom projects. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality work with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join our team in Tempe, AZ.

Position Summary:
The Civil Estimator will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive bids for heavy civil and telecom-related construction projects. This individual will work closely with internal teams to develop detailed cost estimates, schedules, and project strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including heavy highway, earthwork, and paving
• Analyze and interpret bid documents, plans, and specifications; develop RFIs and track questions throughout the bidding process
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, MS Project, or similar platforms
• Develop and maintain Gantt chart schedules to support project planning and execution
• Build and analyze self-perform crews, including labor, equipment, and production rates within estimating software
• Generate schedule of values and maintain scope clarifications throughout the bidding process
• Collaborate with the Estimating Manager and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
• Participate in both private and public bidding opportunities
• Apply local market knowledge to enhance competitiveness and accuracy of bids

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a Civil Estimator with a self-performing contractor
• Proven experience in heavy civil construction, including highway, earthwork, and paving projects
• Strong proficiency with HeavyBid, MS Project, or comparable estimating and scheduling software
• Demonstrated ability to develop construction schedules and cost models
• Experience with both private and public sector bidding
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the Tempe/Phoenix market and regional construction practices
• Telecom construction experience is a plus
