We are seeking a passionate and experienced Permanent Construction Safety Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a solid background in the Construction industry, particularly in Ground Up Commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to, minimizing the risk of job-related accidents. This position requires an individual with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulations, and a proven record of implementing effective safety policies.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage safety programs in accordance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

2. Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.

3. Lead the internal team in understanding these policies and procedures and provide training on hazard recognition and avoidance.

4. Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.

5. Collaborate with engineers and physicians to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.

6. Lead the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperate in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.

7. Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.

8. Develop and deliver safety training to employees and contractors on safety action plans, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5+ years of construction safety experience, specifically within Ground Up Commercial projects.

2. Experience working on Federal Construction projects.

3. Must possess a current OSHA 30-hour safety training certificate.

4. Must have completed HAZWOPER training.

5. Asbestos/Lead training certification is required.

6. Experience with Asphalt safety measures and protocols.

7. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and a proven record of implementing effective safety policies.

8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and lead a team.

9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to foresee potential risks.

10. Bachelor's degree in safety management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
