Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Construction Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across our large data center construction projects, the first one is 6 month project in Lordstown Ohio. More projects are coming soon. In this vital role, you will champion a culture of safety excellence by developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs tailored to construction sites. Your expertise will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, mitigate risks, and promote a safe working environment for all personnel involved. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety standards on large-scale projects and contribute to the successful delivery of construction initiatives.


Duties


  • Lead and enforce site-wide safety programs across active mission-critical construction projects as competent person
  • Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while driving corrective action plans
  • Partner closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and field teams to maintain a strong culture of safety accountability
  • Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for project personnel
  • Monitor and maintain safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety performance and operational standards
  • Travel as needed to support project execution and field operations
  • Develop, implement, and oversee construction safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, enforce safety protocols, and ensure adherence to OSHA, NEC (National Electrical Code), and other relevant codes.
  • Lead risk management efforts by assessing potential hazards, implementing mitigation strategies, and maintaining detailed incident reports.
  • Coordinate safety training sessions for construction teams on topics such as occupational health, workers' compensation procedures, and compliance management.
  • Monitor construction site activities using construction management software to track safety performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers and contractors to establish safe work practices during all phases of construction projects.
  • Manage EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs, ensuring all team members are aware of their responsibilities in maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications


  • Must-Haves as the Construction Safety Manager:
  • 6+ years of construction safety experience within data center, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial projects
Nice-to-Haves as the Construction Safety Manager:


  • Mandarin language skills
  • Experience supporting multi-site or nationally distributed construction projects
  • Prior experience working with large general contractors or hyperscale data center builds
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, incident investigation, and construction risk mitigation
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, construction science, or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience using Procore and other construction management software platforms
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed for project success
Pay: $69,930.39 - $84,217.24 per year
