Position Title: Construction Project Manager
Location: Onsite | San Diego, CA
Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary:

A growing commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead renovation, tenant-improvement, and ground-up projects across multiple states. This role oversees projects from preconstruction through close-out, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and aligned with high standards of quality and safety.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized construction professional who can manage multiple projects while coordinating closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of renovation, tenant improvement, and ground-up construction projects
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
  • Supervise site superintendents and support project engineers
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers across multiple job sites
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure project accuracy and constructability
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontract agreements
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients, architects, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Oversee project close-out including punch lists and final documentation

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience managing ground-up and residential or commercial renovation projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost management
  • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and travel periodically as needed
