Job Description

We are seeking a Connectivity Engineer, Construction Project Manager IV to join the Design Engineering and Construction (DEC) team supporting global data centers at Meta. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data center telecommunications, networking, and construction project management and a proven ability to deliver end-to-end connectivity projects on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Project planning and control. Develop and maintain scope, schedules, and milestones. Partner with site project management throughout the lifecycle.
  • Capture learnings and best practices. Review active work for efficiencies, document field data, and coordinate SOPs/SIPs with vendors.
  • Support forecasting and budgeting. Assist project controls with cost forecasts and communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
  • Lead technical reviews and vendor management. Set procurement milestones, track progress, and manage vendor field activities to DEC standards.
  • Quality assurance and technical leadership. Perform inspections, validate installations and test reports, and guide field design and installation methods.
  • Cross-functional coordination. Liaise with construction and logistics partners to ensure material flow and resolve issues impacting schedule or quality.
  • Safety and compliance. Uphold safety obligations and promote a safety-first culture across all site activities.

Site Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments to identify improvements and constraints.
  • Develop modification plans with cost-benefit and risk analyses.
  • Engage stakeholders including site managers, vendors, and contractors to align scope and execution.
  • Oversee implementation to ensure timely completion with minimal operational impact.
  • Perform post-modification reviews to measure outcomes and identify further improvements.
  • Execute quality assurance across the lifecycle. Validate physical installs, test reports, build accuracy, materials, and local code compliance. Lead constructability reviews across design phases.
  • Act as technical field lead for industry and client standards. Own RFIs, scope clarifications, and field design and installation details.
  • Manage vendor field activities for all OSP/ISP connectivity work. Track and report progress, set expectations, build partner relationships, and drive a right-first-time culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years in data center telecommunications and networking.
  • Experience resolving construction-related issues with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, MS Office, and MS Project.
  • Experience with quality assurance and quality control.

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in data center development or construction management.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and managing IT or IP network deployment projects.
  • Experience with fiber optic testing and outside plant cabling deployments.
