Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and develop high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. The role involves ensuring regular feedback is shared with staff, motivating the project team, and maintaining a positive work environment. Effective communication with owners, architects, and subcontractors regarding project risks, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management is crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Ensure timely completion of employee performance appraisals and share regular feedback.
  • Motivate the project team and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors regarding project risks, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.
  • Determine and define scope of work and deliverables.
  • Establish project staffing requirements and work plans for each project phase.
  • Prepare project manuals, work category descriptions, and other necessary bid package components.
  • Manage the construction management (CM) bid process and conduct post-bid reviews.
  • Serve as a team member on hard bid teams when needed.
  • Set project-specific goals related to schedule, safety, accounting, labor relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), and data processing/reporting.
  • Assess and maintain client relationships, focusing on construction leadership and facility maintenance.
  • Manage owner communications about project risks, schedules, budgets, and logistics.
  • Coordinate project planning services like estimating, scheduling, and value engineering with the Project Planning Leader.
  • Oversee the processing of all project information documents, including contracts, bulletins, field work orders, and change orders.
  • Review client needs against contractual obligations to ensure proper service delivery.
  • Establish subcontract agreements and work scopes, communicating expectations and responsibilities.
  • Clarify expectations and performance requirements through various project-related meetings and interactions.
  • Lead trade contractor relations.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in project management and construction management.
  • Experience in project coordination and commercial construction.
  • Strong skills in project engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s Degree in Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 7 years of commercial construction experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.08/hr.
