Construction Project Manager - Aviation

Our client is a well-established engineering consulting firm seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support its growing Aviation practice. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex airport and aviation infrastructure projects for a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients.

As a key member of the project management team, you will oversee projects from pre-construction through closeout, serving as the primary liaison between clients, engineering teams, contractors, and project stakeholders. You Will Be Responsible For ...

• Lead aviation construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client expectations.

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and overall project execution.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Manage procurement activities, subcontractor coordination, contract administration, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.

• Monitor project financial performance, cost forecasting, and risk management.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.

• Prepare and present project status reports to clients and senior leadership.

• Support commissioning, project turnover, warranty activities, and final closeout.

• Mentor junior project managers, coordinators, and field personnel.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development efforts and identifying opportunities for additional consulting services.

You Need The Following Background  ...

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline. Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Minimum of 7 years of construction project management experience.

• Previous experience working for an engineering consulting firm, construction management firm, or EPC organization is strongly preferred.

• Experience managing aviation, airport, transportation, commercial, industrial, or large infrastructure construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, procurement, contract administration, and construction financial management.

• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and maintaining strong client relationships.

• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively to project sites.

We Prefer...

• Experience managing airport or aviation infrastructure projects.

• Engineering consulting, EPC, or Construction Management consulting experience.

• Experience with public-sector infrastructure projects.

• PMP certification and/or professional engineering credentials are a plus.
