Job Summary
Develops and communicates standardized construction standards for Transmission, Distribution, and Substations, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability while enhancing efficiency. Leverages best practices and industry benchmarking to promote continuous improvement across technical disciplines including overhead and underground systems. Supports consistent execution and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experts to design and update procedures
- Review technical documents and work with safety and standards teams
- Lead mock-ups and training development
- Engage stakeholders through communication and presentations
- Support new technology initiatives and represent the company industry groups
- Incorporate new technologies into procedures
- May serve in emergency response roles
- Lead enterprise initiatives for grid modernization
- Work location may vary; face-to-face interaction may be required
- This is a driving role involving safety-sensitive responsibilities
Qualifications
- 5+ years electric utility construction experience or relevant degree plus 2 years field work
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, technical writing, and communication skills
- Driving role with operational responsibilities
