Global leader in construction material manufacturing is seeking an experienced construction manager for a short term contract assignment at their facility in Newark, OH. This will be at night. Hours and schedule listed below


Contract Opportunity


Job descriptions:


- Attend weekly F6 Cold Repair Catch Up meetings via TEAM, with four sessions scheduled for approximately 30 minutes each, starting in August 2026.

- Participate in a full-day Constructability Review onsite before mobilization.

- Join the onsite Construction Safety Kick Off for a full day following mobilization.

- Lead night team construction, ensure contractors execute project safely, on time and on budget.

- Lead twice-nightly construction meetings for the night shift and foster a strong safety culture among the construction team.

- Review/sign all necessary permits and documents.

- Audit each night shift for safety permits and collect them as required.

- Conduct comprehensive safety audits—including LTT, Confined Space, Hot Work, Lifting, Line Breaking, and more—to proactively prevent incidents across multiple project areas (Batch, F6 Furnace, F6 E-Boost, Substation 1 Repair, F6 Forming Chain Replacement, and F6 Oven Chain Replacement).

- Deliver daily construction reports for the night shift, including updates on contractor head count, safety orientation numbers, SOR numbers, safety incidents and project progresses in the report.

- Drive the SOR process, promote proactive safety mindsets.

- Co-lead the “All Hands Safety Meeting” each Thursday night alongside the Night Shift Safety Officer.

- Maintain active communication with Day Shift Construction Managers and the Safety Officer, escalating any safety concerns to project management as needed.

- Participate in the initial LLT with Plant and Contractor Representatives, coordinate equipment unlocks from LTT and engage in commissioning activities.

- Maintain control Construction Lock on Main Construction Lock Box, handoff key to Day Shift Construction Manager before the end of the shift.

- Construction Safety Kick Off: September 9, 2026

- Drain: September 11, 2026

- Construction complete: October 2, 2026

- Process checkout: September 4–6, 2026

- Heat up: September 7–14, 2026

- Production: October 15, 2026

- Demobilization: October 18, 2026


Work schedule details:


- September 8–10: Onsite from 7 AM to 4 PM; OC will arrange a full day off approximately every 13 days.

- Provide coverage on solo nights as needed, allowing the Night Shift Safety Officer a day off.

- September 11–October 14: Night shift runs from 7 PM to 7 AM.

- September 15: Off day to transition back to day shift.

- September 16–18: Onsite from 7 AM to 4 PM.

- Schedule may vary; OC representatives will communicate any changes at least 24 hours in advance.
