The Construction Project Manager plays a key role in delivering complex EPC and construction management projects, supporting the Project or Program Manager across all phases—from pre-construction through closeout and warranty. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and client satisfaction while leading cross-functional teams and managing field execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day construction operations across one or multiple projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery
  • Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing company safety programs and ensuring compliance among project teams and subcontractors
  • Contribute to project planning, including scheduling, budgeting, estimating, and defining key objectives
  • Build and maintain client relationships; serve as a primary point of contact for project and proposal-related matters
  • Support contract strategy, including negotiation of prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
  • Execute components of the Project Execution Plan, including construction, QA/QC, safety, staffing, and procurement
  • Develop staffing plans, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and optimize resource utilization
  • Oversee site planning, mobilization/demobilization, and permitting compliance
  • Manage procurement processes, including RFP development, bidder prequalification, evaluation, and award recommendations
  • Monitor and report on project financials, schedules, and performance metrics; present updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of design documents aligned with construction schedules
  • Oversee contract administration processes (RFIs, submittals, change management, claims mitigation, and closeout)
  • Manage invoicing processes for prime contracts and subcontractors
  • Coordinate commissioning and startup activities with clients and vendors
  • Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and audit readiness across all project phases
  • Conduct safety, quality, financial, and progress audits
  • Lead materials management, logistics, and inventory control processes
  • Drive project closeout, turnover documentation, and warranty management
  • Engage with government agencies, industry partners, and community stakeholders as needed
  • Mentor and develop junior staff and field personnel; provide performance feedback
  • Manage labor strategy, including workforce planning, labor agreements, and cost tracking
  • Track project performance using earned value, scheduling, and cost control methodologies
  • Oversee equipment allocation and ensure adequate resources for project execution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of construction project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract management, and project controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Experience in industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% based on project needs
