Job DetailsWhat You'll Do
- Manage all phases of litigation, from case assessment and pleadings through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal
- Represent clients in disputes involving construction defects, delay claims, mechanic's liens, payment and performance bond claims, contract disputes, and professional liability
- Advise clients on risk management and contract drafting/review to help prevent disputes before they arise
- Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and prepare cases for arbitration, mediation, and trial
- Collaborate with a team of experienced litigators and support staff on multi-party, technically complex matters
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, practical, and business-minded counsel
- Participate in business development efforts, including client relationship management and industry involvement
What We're Looking For
J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in MO, IL, OR FL
- Litigation experience, with substantial experience in construction law preferred
- Strong understanding of construction industry contracts, lien law, and surety/bond claims
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with courtroom and deposition experience
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Strong analytical, organizational, and client-service skills
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in the construction industry
