CONSTRUCTION LABORER

PRST is looking for dependable Traveling Construction laborer to support a general commercial contractor across projects from Umatilla, OR to the Portland Metro area. In this role you will earn $25-$27 an hour DOE. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering steady hours, weekly pay, and travel support.

As a Traveling Construction Laborer, you’ll assist crews on commercial construction projects performing tasks such as:

• Construction Laborer is responsible for general laborer duties and support on construction sites
• Use various equipment, hand, and power tools
• Prepare ground trenches for pipes and utility lines
• Remove, fill, or compact earth
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade and utility safety standards
• Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truck
• Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
• Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
• May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
• Ability to follow instructions

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older with valid Right to Work documentation in the U.S.
• On-call and weekend availability
• Travel is required
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Reliable transportation with a valid Driver’s License
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening (including THC)
