General Description
The purpose of this position is to perform advanced construction inspection services for utility infrastructure and capital improvement projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, standards, permits, and applicable regulations. This position is responsible for inspecting complex construction projects; documenting inspection activities, test results, and project progress; coordinating with contractors, engineers, consultants, regulatory agencies, and internal departments; identifying and resolving construction issues; reviewing plans for constructability and compliance; performing final inspections and punch list reviews; maintaining accurate project records; and providing technical guidance and mentorship to lower-level Construction Inspectors. This position may serve as the lead inspector on assigned projects and perform the duties of the Senior Construction Inspector during temporary absences or as assigned.
Essential Functions
Visits construction sites to perform advanced field inspections; monitors construction activities for compliance with approved plans, specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements; documents inspection findings; identifies deficiencies; and coordinates corrective actions with contractors and project stakeholders.
Provides quality control by ensuring inspections, testing, and project documentation are accurate, complete, and consistent with Toho Water Authority standards, policies, and applicable regulations.
Coordinates and manages inspection schedules; reviews and processes inspection requests; approves or rejects completed work based on compliance with project requirements; and documents inspection results and deficiencies.
Collaborate with contractors, developers, engineers, consultants, regulatory agencies, and internal departments to resolve construction issues, recommend practical solutions, and facilitate successful project completion.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the candidate's ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered.
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.
Minimum of five years' experience in the construction industry.

Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Drivers License.
