Growing Commercial roofing contractor is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist.This Monday through Friday role balances 60% office-based program administration with 40% active field safety management on commercial job sites. This position will play a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting safe work practices among employees and project partners.The Safety Specialist will spend their time on-site in the field, conducting inspections, engaging with field personnel, identifying hazards, facilitating training, and partnering with project leadership to proactively manage risk.ResponsibilitiesField Safety & Compliance (40%)Conduct regular commercial roofing job site safety audits.Enforce 100% compliance with OSHA and company standards.Deliver on-site tool box talks and safety briefings.Correct field hazards immediately with field supervisors.Inspect specialized roofing equipment and fall protection systems.Safety Administration (60%)Maintain accurate OSHA logs and safety documentation.Manage worker's compensation tracking and incident files.Develop specialized high-altitude safety training curricula.Review subcontractor safety plans prior to site mobilization.Analyze incident data to update risk mitigation strategies.RequirementsActive OSHA 500, 501, or 510 certification.Current First Aid and CPR instructor-level or provider certification.Documented advanced training in Fall Protection standards (29 CFR 1926.501).Minimum 1-3 years of safety experience, preferably in commercial roofing or similar industry.Strong written communication skills for office-based reporting.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Must be able to pass background checksCompetitive base salary commensurate with industry experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance packages.Employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability.Generous paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.401(k) retirement plan with company matching.Company-provided vehicle or monthly allowance for site visits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
