Requirements of Asphalt General Laborer

• You must have physical strength, endurance as well as be able to work well with your hands. 
• Must be over the age of 18.
• Must be able to get along with others.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work as a team and follow directions.
• Must be flexible in your schedule. (Road crews are typically gone Monday through Friday).
• Able to read instructions and maps when needed.
• Place traffic signs where appropriate.
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
• Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment.
• This is a Driving Position -- Must be able to pass Drug test and background check

Must have Drivers License ------- ****Higher starting wage for CDL drivers

May be asked to perform other duties as requested by management.

MUST BE RELIABLE

Responsibilities of Asphalt General Laborer

• Assist the Foremen, Sales people and Project Managers in various construction projects.
• Assist in loading any materials needed for the job.
• Unload and carry materials on the job and at construction sites.
• Use of Crack Saws, Routers, Backpack blowers, Weed eaters, etc…
• Clean cracks on road, and/or parking lots.
• Prepare and apply materials to repair cracks, fill gaps and repair roads.
• Assist other members of the team in order to finish jobs in a timely manner.
• Traffic Control (Place traffic signs where appropriate.) (Flagging)
