Job Summary:
As the Foreman you will ultimately be responsible for overseeing construction crews in the field and ensuring safe, accurate, and timely work is being performed. You will coordinate project walkouts, manage onsite crews, and maintain quality control across all assigned projects. This is a traveling position that requires multi-week rotations and includes per diem. As the Foreman, your customers are internal project teams, customers, and external stakeholders, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company’s success through leadership, safety compliance, and quality execution.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
• Manage and track daily activities of assigned crews
• Inspect work sites for hazards and ensure compliance with federal, state, OSHA, and company safety policies
• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, mini excavators, skid steers, dozers, haul trucks, and trenchers
• Perform underground utility construction including trenching, conduit placement, potholing, rigging, concrete work, and asphalt placement
• Track materials, aggregates, and project requirements while ensuring accurate reporting
• Communicate project progress, crew needs, and updates with Construction and Project Managers
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs

Required Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
• DOT Medical Card required
• Competent Person Certification required

Experience
• Minimum 5 years of heavy construction equipment operation experience
• Telecommunications construction experience including strand, coax, and fiber installation

Skills and Abilities
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications
• Ability to manage and lead construction crews effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with crews, leadership, and customers
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles, bucket trucks, and work equipment
• Strong understanding of OSHA and regulatory safety standards
• Ability to utilize and enforce proper safety equipment and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred
• Confined Space Training
• Trench Safety Training
• Pole Climbing & Ladder Safety Certification
• Flagger Certification
• Forklift Certification
• First Aid / CPR Certification

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Maintain visual and audible awareness of crew members, vehicles, and moving equipment
• Work safely around heavy equipment and machinery
• Must wear required PPE including boots, glasses, hard hats, and applicable safety gear
