As a Field Engineer, you will be playing a critical role in the construction of Teslas first lithium refinery plant near Corpus Christi, TX. You will be involved in the full life cycle of a project from design to commissioning.

This role will require collaboration across functional groups to:

  • Resolve technical design issues
  • Ensure quality installations
  • Track and report cost/schedule metrics
  • Model safe work practices

This is a role that requires sound technical judgement and creative problem-solving skills to support all teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete constructability reviews
  • Manage Request for Information (RFI) for both coordination and providing technical answers
  • Execute purchases 100k and under and support purchase orders over 100k
  • Complete and track value engineering efforts
  • Standard and specification review and development
  • Provide feedback on construction sequencing for your discipline
  • Identify and provide a path of resolution to technical field issues as they arise in collaboration with engineering, applicable contractors, and other parties as required

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills are a must
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • High proficiency in Microsoft products, Bluebeam, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD
  • Proven ability to identify field issues and propose efficient solutions
  • 3 years of relevant industry experience (heavy industrial, oil & gas, complex chemical plants)
  • Previous experience on 200M+ projects, preferably with experience on both owners and contractors side
