We are seeking a hands-on finance leader to oversee and strengthen the accounting function within a growing organization. This role is ideal for someone who can operate both strategically and tactically, owning day-to-day financial operations while improving processes, reporting, and overall financial visibility. The position will partner closely with leadership to support informed decision-making and drive business performance.


Responsibilities


  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management and month-end close
  • Manage job costing, WIP reporting, billing, AP/AR, retainage, cash flow tracking, and collections support
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Develop and deliver financial insights related to profitability, forecasting, and overall performance
  • Identify and implement process improvements, internal controls, and scalable systems
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to enhance financial transparency and accountability
  • Support strategic planning and contribute to the organization’s growth initiatives


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of construction accounting experience required, including project-based/job-cost accounting
  • Experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
  • Ability to operate in a hands-on environment while driving process improvements
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • CPA a plus
