An established public infrastructure contractor is seeking a Construction Civil Estimator in Fort Myers, FL to help deliver meaningful municipal, county, state, and federally funded projects across Florida. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Construction Civil Estimator position include:
• 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction, underground utilities, sitework, or public infrastructure
• Prepare accurate, competitive bids for public-sector projects including water and sewer mains, lift stations, stormwater systems, roadway improvements, and sitework
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, labor and equipment analysis, and material costing
• Review plans, specifications, and addenda to identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
• Collaborate with project teams on constructability reviews, cost optimization, and project handoff to operations
• Maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships for timely and competitive pricing
• Strong knowledge of Florida public bidding processes, civil construction plans, and specifications
• Proficiency in Excel, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel within Florida for site visits as needed
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
