Randall Offsite Construction <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>is currently seeking a skilled Construction Accountant and Administrative Specialist <\/b>to work in our Apopka, FL <\/b>headquarters and production facility.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Position Summary:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>

<\/p>

The Construction Accountant / Administrative Specialist is responsible for managing all financial aspects of construction projects including cost tracking, budget reconciliation, variance analysis, invoice processing, and financial reporting. The role requires expertise in construction cost accounting and owner direct purchasing programs.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Essential Functions:<\/span><\/span><\/b>

<\/p>

  • Track and monitor project expenses throughout the construction lifecycle<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Reconcile project budgets against actual costs<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/li>

  • Analyze cost variances between estimated and actual expenses<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Maintain accurate job cost records and cost coding<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Manage and support Owner Direct Purchasing (ODP) programs<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Ensure compliance with owner requirements and documentation processes<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Process and track owner-supplied materials<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Review invoices, packing slips, and process payments<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Review and validate financial and construction documents including material request forms, purchase orders, subcontracts, AIA billings, invoices, packing slips, and billing statements<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Prepare financial reports and monitor cost performance<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Establish and track KPIs for labor costs and project expenses<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

Desired Qualification Requirements<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>:<\/span><\/span><\/b>

  • Minimum 5 years of construction cost accounting experience<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Strong background in construction accounting and job cost tracking<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Experience with Owner Direct Purchasing programs<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Construction cost accounting and owner direct purchasing program expertise<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Proven experience reviewing financial and construction documents<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Experience with ComputerEase is a plus<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

  • Knowledge of cost control and forecasting<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>

  • <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Critical thinking and analytical skills that reflect the ability to analyze a broad range of issues and provide solutions.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/li>

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to prepare compelling presentations.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats including individually and in group settings.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office products, with advanced Excel skills.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English (though bilingual English/Spanish a plus).<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Physical Requirements:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

This is primarily an office position and, as such, you must be able <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>to sit up to six or more hours in an eight-hour workday, lift light objects such as files and paperwork frequently during the day, and objects weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally during the day. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
